If I see you in a dream
does that mean I'm in love?
If I can recall your smile
are you meant for me?

I like sitting here
Where I can see you laughing
My tiny secret behind the blush

I met you in another dream
You were smiling so gently
Your eyes met mine, and you understood me
But I learned long ago
the meaning of dreams

What I want and what is there
Only one is reflected
I see how I want to see
and dream what I want to dream

So when I saw you again
In this final dream with you
I think I knew
'Its all okay now
No more pain or wishing'

That dreams could be reality
is a dream within a dream
And that you'd hold me in your arms
Is a desire so deep
That even my dreams cannot find it

A mirror of hopelessness
But even without hope
In my dreams I am happy
Even as my love for you fades as do dreams.
