Kidnap

By: Dyaoka

Disclaimer: I don’t own the Prince of Tennis.

Notes/Warnings: I was feeling weird…a one-shot fic. Oh yes, and shonen-ai. This is a AtoTezu.

“Keigo-sama, you shouldn’t be moving around” the butler said. “You’re still sick.”

“Oh, be quiet” Atobe Keigo snapped, looking quite flushed in the cheeks. “Where is he?”

“Where is who, Keigo-sama? You must be delirious…you’ve been in a high fever for some time. Perhaps a trip to the hospital is necessary…”

“Do not lower me to use such things as a general hospital” Atobe snapped. “Leave.” With a wave of his hand, he dismissed the butler, who obediently left. Atobe was left to look at the clock. It was already three thirty. He was half an hour late…but didn’t he also have tennis practice? Atobe gave a ‘hmph!’ to no one in particular and settled back down into bed.

“He should know that I’m sick…” Atobe muttered. “And yet he doesn’t come to visit! Gr…KABAJI!” He roared. The usual large fellow that followed him around wasn't there. But the butler came in.

“Kabaji-san isn’t here. Would you like me to get him for you?” the butler asked.

“Yes. Of course” Atobe said as dignified as he could while being sick and with a stuffy nose. The butler left quickly, to compile with his master’s wishes. In a little while, Kabaji was brought into the room, and in a little while, after giving Kabaji strict instructions, he was sent out again. Atobe laid back into bed, a smug look upon his face. A moment later, he sneezed.

Any minute now…

Atobe looked over at the clock. It said four o’ clock. Atobe smirked as he heard a knock on the door and a surprised yelp from the butler. “Come in” Atobe said. In came Kabaji…towing a very irritated looking Tezuka. He was still dressed in his Seigaku tennis uniform, and Atobe looked at the clock again. Oh…that’s right. Tennis practice. But tennis practice wasn't as important as him, Atobe Keigo-sama.

“Atobe” Tezuka said, his voice sounding very calm. “You don’t just go around kidnapping people.”

“I didn’t go kidnap you” Atobe said, dismissing Kabaji and the butler. The door was shut after they left.

“You did” Tezuka accused.

“No I didn’t. Kabaji kidnapped you” Atobe countered.

“You told Kabaji to kidnap me. It’s almost the same thing” Tezuka said.

“No, it’s not. Plus, I will never stoop low enough to go and kidnap someone. Especially you” Atobe said indignantly. “You can call this…an abduction.”

“What do you want?” Tezuka asked, skipping to the point. “You’re subordinate…abducted me during the middle of practice. It created quite a scene.” He pushed his glasses upwards.

“Ah, I suppose it did. But you didn’t come visit me” Atobe said, almost pouting. But Atobe Keigo-sama didn’t pout.

“You look ill. You should be in bed, resting, not being a criminal mastermind behind kidnaps” Tezuka said. How he said it while keeping a straight face, one would never know. He just did.

“Since you’ve decided to visit me, did you bring me any gifts?” Atobe asked, changing the subject.

“…I was abducted” Tezuka said.

“That’s nice.”

With a sigh, Tezuka walked over next to Atobe and pushed him down onto the bed. “Go to sleep. You look feverish.”

“I am not feverish…”

A cool hand reached over and brushed the stray strands of hair away from his eyes. “You’re burning up. Go to sleep.”

“Stay with me” Atobe said. It wasn't begging (heavens forbid! Atobe Keigo-sama did not beg!). It was a statement, command, order…whatever.

But nevertheless, Tezuka stayed.

Mou…you have no idea how bored I was. This isn’t the only one-shot that I’m typing up. I came up with this in like…5 minutes. -_-;;; My other one-shot is kind of growing out to be 12,000 words now…and I’m still not finished. (And why am I putting so much crap here? Well, let’s just say I’m bored.) And the next chapter of Impossible Fantasy is only 30% finished…-_-;;; I’m 50% through with the next chapter of Can See The Light and I need my beta-reader to hurry up and edit the next chapter of Femininity. I guess that’s all I have to say. :D Bet you’re glad, huh?
