Sakuno is Ryuzaki Sumire's granddaughter. Aside from being very shy, she is the first character to appear in the series and her crush on Echizen sets her into the 'heroin' position. She has absolutely no sense of direction and not only gets herself lost, but causes Echizen to loose a match by getting him lost. He has helped her out several times including taking her to fix her racket strings. Most of the senpai (especially Momo and Kikumaru) believe that there is something going on between the two of them.
